Western Railway sets new record, earns Rs 1.39 crore from ticket-checking in a single day

The Western Railway (WR) has achieved a new milestone by recording its highest-ever single-day earnings from ticket checking, collecting Rs 1.39 crore on October 18. A total of 17,383 cases of ticketless travel was reported by the WR on the day.

According to a statement issued by WR, this performance surpasses the previous best of Rs 1.28 crore recorded on November 10, 2023.
