The Uttarakhand government has enforced the Uniform Civil Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026 after Governor Gurmit Singh’s approval.

The ordinance introduces procedural, administrative and penal reforms to strengthen implementation, transparency and protection of citizens’ rights, officials said, reported the IANS.
