Uttarakhand: 1,278 people evacuated from Dharali amid successful rescue operations

The rescue operation is now complete, with electricity and mobile networks restored in the area

About 1,278 people have been rescued in relief operations following the disaster in Uttarakhand's Dharali, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey said on Monday, reported ANI. 

Commissioner Pandey told ANI that the evacuees included individuals from other states who were stranded near Gangotri Dham. He confirmed the rescue operation is now complete, with electricity and mobile networks restored in the area.

He also stated that the Valley Bridge and road connectivity have been re-established, and district officials are actively monitoring the distribution of the Rs 5 lakh financial assistance announced by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, reported ANI.
