Flight services at the international airport here would be temporarily suspended for five hours on Monday to enable the traditional "Arattu" procession of Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple to pass through the runway, TIAL said.

The ritual is in line with a decades-old practice involving the Travancore Royals.
