Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay on Wednesday announced that MLAs in the state will get a government vehicle and a monthly allowance of Rs 1 lakh — all for transparent, good governance.

Vijay said that the string of perks would help the legislators to be not dependent on others for their official requirements and enable them to work — without making any compromises — in an independent and honest manner.
