SC pulls up Mamata over ED raid interference

The Supreme Court of India has criticised Mamata Banerjee over alleged interference during an Enforcement Directorate raid linked to I-PAC in Kolkata, warning that such actions could undermine democratic processes

The Surpeme Court on Wednesday slammed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her alleged obstruction during I-PAC raids conducted by the ED in Kolkata.

“This is not a dispute between the Centre and the state. A chief minister of any state just walks in in the midst of an inquiry or investigation, puts democracy in peril,” the bench stated.
