The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned by two weeks the hearing on a plea filed by Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) challenging the Lok Sabha Speaker's approval of the merger of its six Members of Parliament (MPs) with the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

A bench of Justices PS Narasimha and Alok Aradhe noted that the office of the Lok Sabha Speaker and other respondents were yet to be served the notice issued on the plea filed by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Arvind Sawant.
