Amid rising political tensions over allegations of electoral fraud, NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) MLA Rohit Pawar on Friday remarked that the public perception of the Election Commission (EC) is deteriorating, with many now viewing it as closely aligned with the BJP, reported ANI. 

"With proof, Rahul Gandhi highlighted a lot of things about the Election Commission yesterday, and people are now thinking that the Election Commission is an extended department of the BJP," Pawar told reporters.

Pawar further stated that widespread concerns were raised regarding the credibility of the election process following the outcome of the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly Elections, reported ANI.
