Ram Navami 2026: Nashik, Malegaon Municipal Corporations issue orders to keep slaughterhouses shut on March 26

The Malegaon civic body has also announced a list of 12 ‘no slaughter’ days for the year. These include Mahavir Jayanti on March 31 and Buddha Purnima on May 1, among other significant religious occasions

The municipal corporations of Nashik and Malegaon have ordered the closure of slaughterhouses on the occasion of Ram Navami 2026, which falls on Thursday, reported the PTI.
The Nashik Municipal Corporation stated that all slaughterhouses within its jurisdiction will remain shut on March 26 to mark Shri Ram Navami. The civic body also directed that no animal slaughter should take place on the day, according to the PTI.
