Former Maharashtra MLC Rajendra Jain files nomination as NCP Candidate for Rajya Sabha bye-elections

Backed by the ruling Mahayuti alliance, Jain is widely expected to be elected unopposed. Senior NCP leaders said his extensive legislative and organisational experience made him the unanimous choice for the seat

Former Maharashtra MLC Rajendra Jain on Monday filed his nomination papers as the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) candidate for the Rajya Sabha by-election to be held on June 18, reported PTI.

Several senior leaders accompanied Jain during the nomination process, including Rajya Sabha MPs Praful Patel and Parth Pawar, Maharashtra NCP president and Lok Sabha MP Sunil Tatkare, and state minister Chhagan Bhujbal.
