Central Railway has successfully upgraded a 52 kg Diamond Layout to 60 kg at Pune Yard, marking another step towards strengthening railway infrastructure and improving operational safety, an official statement said on Tuesday.

An eight-hour-30-minute mega block was carried out for the work. The block was scheduled from 8.15 am to 5 pm, but was completed and cleared at 4.45 pm, 15 minutes ahead of schedule, it said.
