Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday criticised BJP MPs for felicitating former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the Parliament complex following his resignation, saying it was "shameful" and likening the reception to that of a "superstar".
Pradhan, who resigned on July 25 amid nationwide protests over the NEET-UG paper leak issue, was welcomed by several BJP MPs with a traditional cap and stole while supporters raised slogans of "Pradhan Zindabad". Opposition MPs responded with slogans of "Chor, chor, paper chor", criticising the ruling party for honouring the former minister.
