As Republic Day celebrations got underway in the national capital on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage at the National War Memorial near India Gate.

He was joined by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Air Chief Marshal A P S Singh, and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Tripathi, reported news agency ANI.
