A gang of robbers opened fire inside a jewellery shop in Boisar town, Maharashtra’s Palghar district, on Friday but fled without stealing anything, police said.

According to news agency PTI, the attempted robbery took place around 11:30 am at a shop in the Ganesh Nagar area. The assailants fired two rounds, but fortunately, no one was injured. In their haste to escape, the robbers left their weapon behind, a Boisar police station official confirmed.
