Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Jha on Wednesday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in the Lok Sabha, criticising the PM for speaking in 'vague terms' and avoiding direct references -- especially in relation to former US President Donald Trump’s claims about mediating a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.

Speaking with ANI, Manoj Jha said, “Why is the Prime Minister speaking in vague terms? Why isn’t he naming anyone?... What is going on? Why is Donald Trump acting like this? And PM Modi doesn’t even mention his name."

Former US President Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed credit for brokering a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently asserted that no foreign leader played a role in halting India’s actions.
