Addicts attack family in Sonia Vihar with knives, rods after complaint over drug use near house; 3 injured

A family in northeast Delhi’s Sonia Vihar was allegedly attacked by a group armed with knives and rods after they objected to drug use near their home. Three members were injured, one critically, and police have launched a probe as locals raise concerns over rising anti-social activity

A violent incident was reported from northeast Delhi’s Sonia Vihar area, where a family was allegedly attacked inside their home after objecting to drug use near their residence in the fourth Pusta area, close to Durga Mandir. 

According to the family, some individuals regularly gathered at a vacant plot near their house and consumed drugs. The family had earlier raised a complaint regarding the issue, after which tensions between both sides increased.
