Mild tremors reported in Maharashtra's Nashik; no casualties or major damage reported

According to officials, the tremors were experienced in Surgana, Kalwan, Dindori and Peth talukas. The Maharashtra Engineering and Research Institute (MERI), based in Nashik district of Maharashtra, said that the tremors measured around 3.6 in magnitude

Several mild tremors were felt across parts of Maharashtra's Nashik district between Saturday morning and the early hours of Sunday. Officials said there were no reports of any loss of life or major damage to property, reported the PTI.

However, the Nashik district administration has stepped up monitoring and ordered inspections of vulnerable buildings as a precaution.
