Meta executives to meet Centre on August 5-6 over PM Modi video removal

Meta executives are expected to meet government representatives on August 5 and 6 to discuss legal compliance, AI-generated content and safeguards for content takedowns involving prominent personalities. The meeting follows the brief removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Facebook video

Meta executives will likely meet government representatives on August 5 and 6 to discuss legal and compliance issues, synthetically generated content and safeguards for content takedowns involving prominent personalities, MeitY Secretary S Krishnan said.
During the questioning, the government will raise a number of issues, including lapses in tackling of CSAM as well as wrongful action on prominent account during the upcoming meeting with Meta's global team, IT Secretary S Krishnan said on Tuesday. He further adding that a company at the forefront of technology should have been able to make its systems work as they are supposed to, according to PTI.
