Maharashtra weather update: Heavy rain likely along coast, heatwave persists in Vidarbha

IMD has forecast active monsoon conditions along the coast and across parts of western Maharashtra, while eastern districts are expected to see only scattered rainfall and persistently high temperatures

Maharashtra continued to witness contrasting weather conditions on Monday, with active monsoon conditions prevailing across Mumbai, Konkan and parts of western Maharashtra, while several districts in Vidarbha remained under the grip of severe heatwave conditions despite isolated rainfall activity.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread rainfall, thunderstorms and gusty winds across coastal and western Maharashtra, while eastern districts are likely to experience only isolated showers amid unusually high temperatures.
