Maharashtra weather alert: Rain, thunderstorms to lash state; IMD issues 5-day alert for western districts

Mumbai and Thane are expected to receive light rainfall. Districts including Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, and Dhule are under a yellow alert, with thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, light to moderate rain, and winds of 30-40 kmph likely at isolated places

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest weather bulletin on Tuesday, has issued a yellow alert across several districts in Maharashtra, forecasting thundershowers, light to moderate rainfall, and gusty winds.

While some districts are under a rain alert, others have been warned of hot and humid conditions.
