A man in Maharashtra’s Nashik district brutally assaulted his wife and seven-year-old son on Monday and later attempted to kill himself, officials said.

According to IANS, the police said that the accused launched the attack on his family before attempting to kill himself. The motive behind the deadly attack is unclear, though repeated altercations and squabbles over marital life are believed to be the key reason.
