THE Moshi garbage mound collapse has forced the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to launch its toughest solid waste management reforms to date.

Strict rules

From August 15, unsegregated garbage will be left behind. The civic body will also set up decentralised waste processing centres across the city to reduce dependence on the Moshi dumping site. The measures aim to prevent waste-related disasters, reduce landfill burden and ensure scientific disposal.
