Tension erupted in Gevrai town of Beed district on Tuesday morning during Maharashtra local body elections, when supporters of BJP and NCP leaders clashed, police said, reported the PTI.

The altercation, which took place outside a BJP leader’s residence, escalated to stone-pelting, causing damage to several vehicles.
