A tragic road accident in Baramati on Sunday morning claimed the lives of a 37-year-old man and his two young daughters after they were run over by a speeding dumper truck at Mahatma Phule Chowk in Khandoba Nagar.

The victims, identified as Onkar Acharya and his daughters, 10-year-old Saee and 4-year-old Madhura, were returning home from the market around 11:30 am when the incident occurred, according to officials from the Baramati City Police, according to the news agency ANI. 

A case has been registered at Baramati Police Station, and the dumper driver has been arrested for causing death by negligence.
