Maharashtra govt tables supplementary demands of Rs 11,995.33 crore in Assembly on Day 2 of Budget Session

A supplementary demand is an additional budgetary grant requested by the government from the legislature during the financial year. This demand is over and above the authorised annual budget, to cover unforeseen, additional, or new expenditure arising within the financial year

On Day 2 of Maharashtra Budget Session 2026 on Tuesday, Chief Minister (CM) Devendra Fadnavis tabled supplementary demands of Rs 11,995.33 crore in the legislative assembly, news agency PTI reported. The annual budget for 2026-27 will be presented on March 6.

The highest allocation of Rs 4,066 crore is proposed for the energy, labour, industries, and mining sectors.
