Panic gripped Airoli after a late-night firing incident in Sector-01 on Sunday, where an unidentified assailant opened fire at two youths around 11:50 pm.

According to police, the attacker fired four rounds near Chhatrapati Shivaji Nivasi Chawl, leaving RTI activist Amit Maurya critically injured after sustaining a bullet wound to the neck. The second victim, Sandeep Gawas, narrowly escaped unhurt.
