The police have reportedly registered an offence against Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) Lok Sabha elections 2024 candidate Chandrahar Patil for allegedly holding a 'padayatra' (foot march) without permission in Sangli district of Maharashtra, an official said on Friday, reported the PTI.
According to the PTI, a case under section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the Indian Penal Code and provisions of the Maharashtra Police Act has been registered against Chandrahar Patil and three organisers, the official said.
