‘Legally prohibited from leaving’: Vijay Mallya denies being fugitive, claims injustice

Businessman Vijay Mallya has rejected the description of him as a fugitive, claiming that he is legally prohibited from leaving the United Kingdom and alleging that the Indian government has treated him unfairly.
In a series of posts on X, Mallya said he has been a permanent resident of the UK since 1992 and claimed that his continued stay in the country was the result of legal proceedings rather than a refusal to return to India.
