Heavy rainfall continued to batter large parts of Kerala on Wednesday, leaving several low-lying areas inundated, disrupting normal life and prompting authorities to intensify evacuation and relief measures across the state. With floodwaters yet to recede in many affected regions, more relief camps have been opened to accommodate displaced residents, while officials have urged people living in vulnerable areas to move to safer locations.

The southern districts of Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Kottayam remained among the worst affected, where continuous rainfall led to severe waterlogging and inundated roads. Residents, including children, women and senior citizens, were seen wading through knee-deep water as floodwaters entered residential areas and disrupted daily life.
