Ken-Betwa Link Project protest enters 15th day as hunger strike continues

The indefinite hunger strike against the Ken-Betwa Link Project entered its 15th day as protesters continued to raise concerns over displacement and rehabilitation. The agitation has also included jal satyagraha, chita satyagraha and faansi satyagraha, while the administration says additional rehabilitation funds have been sanctioned

An indefinite hunger strike against the Ken-Betwa Link Project in Bundelkhand entered its 15th day on Saturday, with protesters alleging inadequate rehabilitation and displacement-related grievances.
Protesters have also undertaken “jal satyagraha”, “chita (funeral pyre) satyagraha” and, since the eighth day, a “faansi satyagraha”.
