IAF Jaguar jet crash: Pilots identified as investigation begins

The IAF officially identified the two pilots killed in yesterday's Jaguar crash near Churu, Rajasthan, as Sqn Ldr Lokender and Flt Lt Rishi Raj Singh, confirming the accident occurred during a routine training mission but not releasing their ages

The names of the two pilots were officially released by the IAF on Thursday in a brief statement. The IAF conveyed its sorrow, stating, "The pilots who attained 'veergati' in yesterday's Jaguar crash were -- Sqn Ldr Lokender and Flt Lt Rishi Raj Singh."

However, the statement did not include any details regarding the ages of the two pilots, according to news agency PTI. 

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the IAF had publicly announced the incident, confirming that, "An IAF Jaguar Trainer aircraft met with an accident during a routine training mission and crashed near Churu in Rajasthan, today."
