Former Railway Minister and Mukul Roy dies after cardiac arrest

Former Railway Minister and senior TMC leader Mukul Roy passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at a private hospital in Salt Lake, Kolkata. A founding member of the Trinamool Congress, Roy had also served as a Rajya Sabha MP and briefly joined the BJP before returning to TMC

Former Railway Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mukul Roy passed away on Monday, February 23, at Apollo Hospital in Salt Lake, Kolkata. As reported by news agency ANI, Roy suffered a cardiac arrest at 1:30 am, his son, Subhranshu Roy, confirmed.

Earlier, on June 11, 2021, Mukul Roy and his son, Subhranshu Roy, joined TMC in the presence of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
