Fire breaks out at MSETCL Chinchwad substation, power supply hit across Pimpri-Chinchwad

A fire broke out at the 220 kV Extra-High-Voltage Substation of the Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) in Chinchwad at around 12:25 pm on Sunday following a technical fault, significantly affecting power supply across several parts of Pimpri-Chinchwad.
The fire has been brought under control. Officials from MSETCL and the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) are working to restore power supply to areas that can be serviced, while keeping the affected section of the substation shut down.
