The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested Indian national Nitish Kaushal in Vermont, days after placing him on its Most Wanted list, in a major breakthrough in an investigation into an alleged Punjab-based transnational organised crime syndicate accused of operating across multiple countries.
Arrest follows FBI Most Wanted Alert
The FBI confirmed the arrest through its official Most Wanted account on X, stating that Kaushal had been taken into custody in Vermont. The agency also appealed for public assistance in tracing other fugitives allegedly linked to the same criminal enterprise.
