Delhi Chief Minister and Finance Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday presented the national capital’s Budget for the financial year 2026-27, announcing a total outlay of Rs 1,03,700 crore. Highlighting a vision of rapid development, Gupta described the financial plan as a “green budget” aimed at boosting infrastructure, improving civic amenities, and ensuring sustainable urban growth, reported news agency PTI.

Budget Emphasises ‘Triple Engine’ Growth Model

Presenting the budget in the Assembly, Gupta said Delhi is witnessing accelerated progress under a “triple engine” governance model. She stressed that the city is undergoing a transition phase and noted that past policies, particularly a reliance on subsidies, had impacted revenue growth between 2018 and 2020, reported PTI.
