The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as a cyclonic circulation has formed over the Bay of Bengal and is expected to intensify from November 21, an official said on Thursday, reported the PTI.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall of 7–20 cm is likely at one or two locations in the Nicobar Islands, while heavy rainfall (7–11 cm) is also expected in parts of the Andaman Islands.
