Child trafficking network busted in Arunachal Pradesh, 19 children rescued

Police rescued 19 children from different parts of Arunachal Pradesh and arrested three suspected brokers in a crackdown on an alleged child trafficking network targeting economically vulnerable families

Nineteen children were rescued from various parts of Arunachal Pradesh and three suspected brokers arrested in a crackdown on a child trafficking network, police said on Tuesday.

A case was registered at the Namsai police station on August 17 after a complaint was lodged by the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) of the district, they said.
