In a major diplomatic victory for India, the BRICS member nations and partners on Saturday adopted the New Delhi Declaration unanimously, calling for restraint amid escalating tensions in West Asia, backing dialogue and diplomacy to achieve lasting peace, and reaffirming support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, news agency PTI reported. The grouping also called for zero tolerance towards terrorism and criticised protectionist trade measures.
