An Assam Police team on Tuesday reached the Delhi residence of Congress leader <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/congress-leader-pawan-khera-slams-government-over-galgotias-universitys-robodog-controversy-at-ai-summit-23617337" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Pawan Khera</a> for questioning and carried out a search in connection with a case linked to allegations made against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his family, officials said.

Speaking with reporters outside the Congress leader&rsquo;s house, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/eci-bans-all-campaigning-opinion-polls-and-voter-outreach-during-48-hour-silence-period-23624493" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Assam </a>police DCP Debojit Nath said that Khera was not found at his residence. However, he said that a search was carried out and electronic devices were seized.&nbsp;
Some &ldquo;incriminating material&rdquo; was found, he said. &nbsp;The case has been registered at the Crime Branch Police Station in Guwahati, the DCP said. The development comes after Khera alleged that Sarma&rsquo;s wife had three passports and that he had hidden information about her assets in his poll affidavit.
