Assam floods rise in death toll, over 13 districts affected

The death toll in Assam Flood rose to 15 after three more deaths were reported on Sunday, June 2, as a result of heavy rainfall in Assam following the landfall of Cyclone Remal. More than 6 lakh people are reported to be affected in the floods in the State.

The death toll in Assam Flood rose to 15 after three more deaths were reported on Sunday, June 2, according to official estimates.

As a result of severe rains in Assam after landfall of Cyclone Remal on May 28, the death toll stood at eight on June 1, according to a report issued by the State Disaster Management Authority.
