Sikkim landslide: 12 workers trapped inside under-construction tunnel; rescue operation underway

At least 12 workers were trapped inside an under-construction road tunnel in Sikkim's Namchi district after a landslide blocked the entrance. A suspected gas leak inside the tunnel has complicated rescue operations being carried out by NDRF, SDRF, police and fire personnel

At least 12 workers were trapped inside an under-construction road tunnel in Sikkim's Namchi district after a landslide blocked its entrance on Monday afternoon, police said.
The landslide also triggered a suspected gas leak inside the Samardung tunnel, they said.
