According to the weather bulletin issued by the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) on Thursday, isolated pockets of Mumbai and Raigad are likely to experience heatwave conditions on Friday

Several parts of coastal Maharashtra are expected to remain hot and humid over the next few days

Mumbai, Thane and Raigad experienced hot and humid weather on Thursday. While isolated pockets of Mumbai and Raigad are likely to face heatwave conditions on Friday, Thane is expected to remain hot and humid before dry weather returns over the weekend

Ratnagiri is also likely to experience heatwave conditions in isolated pockets on Thursday and Friday. The district is expected to remain hot and humid on Saturday, with light to moderate thundershowers possible during the afternoon or evening

In Sindhudurg, light rain or thundershowers are likely during the afternoon or evening on Friday and Saturday after hot and humid conditions

The weather is expected to turn dry across Maharashtra from Sunday, October 11, through Monday, October 12

Amid the high temperatures, the IMD has advised residents to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during peak afternoon hours.
