The labour camp was being used to accommodate construction workers engaged in the BMC PAP Project

The fire is suspected to have started from a small fire at the site before spreading and leading to the explosion of gas cylinders, officials said

All occupants of the labour camp were safely evacuated following the fire. No casualty or fatality has been reported so far

Fire Brigade personnel are at the spot and fire-fighting operations are underway. Necessary arrangements have also been made at the site

The exact cause of the fire and the circumstances leading to the cylinder explosions are being ascertained
