Mumbai witnessed its first major Ganapati Visarjan day on Tuesday, with 2,889 idols immersed by 6 pm amid rain. Devotees faced challenging conditions while heading to BMC artificial ponds and major immersion sites such as Gorgaon, Shivaji Park in Dadar and Teli Gali in Andheri (E) to bid an emotional farewell to Bappa (Pics/Atul Kamble, Ashish Raje and Satej Shinde)
