Chief Minister Fadnavis virtually inaugurated three flyovers in Mumbai, including railway overbridges at Sion and Vidyavihar, and Goregaon-Mulund Link Road. (PICS/ CMO)

Sion bridge reopened four months ahead of schedule; Vidyavihar crossing travel time reduced from 30 minutes to 10 minutes, says mayor

The 112-year-old British-era bridge at Sion had been closed for safety reasons but was reconstructed by Central Railway and BMC engineers and reopened four months ahead of schedule

The flyover on the Goregaon–Mulund Link Road is expected to strengthen connectivity between Mumbai's eastern and western suburbs

The three projects will strengthen Mumbai's transport network and provide residents with safer and more convenient journeys

The CM said projects such as the Coastal Road, concrete roads, flyovers and tunnels should be viewed as parts of an integrated transport network rather than as standalone developments.
