Party leaders during the celebrations were joined by MLA Sanjay Upadhyay, who also distributed sweets after trends showed victory for the BJP in two states

Trends at 3:00 pm show that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led alliance has taken a decent lead over TMC. As per the election commission, BJP is currently leading on 190 seats, while TMC trails by 101 seats

While the BJP leads significantly, the CPI(M)-led Left Front, which contested 252 seats in the West Bengal assembly elections, was leading in just one constituency on Monday, according to the Election Commission

Signalling a potential political churn in West Bengal, long dominated by TMC's Mamata Banerjee, the BJP crossed the halfway mark on Monday, leading in 193 assembly seats against the TMC's 94 as counting progressed, according to Election Commission data

Apart from the BJP and TMC, the Aam Janata Unnayan Party of Humayun Kabir was ahead in two seats, and the Congress, CPI(M) and All Indian Secular Front (AISF) in one each, according to the Election Commission

Amid the wave of happiness, BJP leaders in Mumbai celebrated the landslide lead with full enthusiasm
