Thane to face 12-day water cut in phases from Jan 27, check details of affected areas and timings

The water cuts are due to repair work on the 'Pneumatic Gate System' installed at the Bhatsa river barrage at Pise, which supplies water to both Thane and Mumbai. The work is being carried out by the BMC, officials said on Friday

Several parts of Thane city in Maharashtra will face phased water supply cuts for 12 days starting from January 27, 2026, the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) announced on Friday.

The water cuts are due to repair work on the 'Pneumatic Gate System' installed at the Bhatsa river barrage at Pise, which supplies water to both Thane and Mumbai.
