Several parts of Thane will face a 24-hour water cut on Wednesday as the civic body will undertake essential valve installation work on a major pipeline in the Indiranagar area.
According to the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), a 1,168-mm diameter water pipeline was recently laid to improve supply in Indiranagar under the Vartak Nagar and Lokmanya Savarkar Nagar ward committees. To commission this new line, a valve needs to be fixed on the existing 750-mm pipeline at Indiranagar Naka. Owing to this work, water supply will remain completely shut from 9 am on Wednesday to 9 am on Thursday.
