In view of managing traffic congestion in Thane, the City Traffic Department issued a new traffic control notification. The notification has been issued by the authorities to inform about the Ghodbunder Highway. 

As per the authorities, the ongoing road improvement work at Gaimukh Ghat along the Thane-Ghodbunder State Highway 84 has caused road closures at various points. The project, aimed at improving the geometry of the ghat section, has led to bottlenecks in the Modbunder area, prompting the authorities to implement alternate routes for heavy vehicles.
