<p><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/delhi-malviya-nagar-fire-updates-delhi-police-register-culpable-homicide-case-after-21-people-including-several-foreigners-are-killed-in-blaze-23633499" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>A massive fire broke</strong></a> out at a tyre warehouse located in an open area near Daighar Police Station in the Diva area of Thane district of Maharashtra on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.</p>
<p>According to officials, the incident was reported at around 11.51 am.</p>
<p>Following the alert, fire brigade personnel and officers rushed to the scene with one fire engine and one rescue vehicle.</p>
<p>The warehouse, where tyres were reportedly stored in the open, caught fire for reasons that are yet to be determined, said the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).</p>
<h2>No injuries reported</h2>
<p>The officials said that so far <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/ministry-of-education-fire-fire-breaks-out-at-ministry-of-education-office-in-delhi-no-injuries-reported-23633102" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>no injuries or casualties had been reported</strong></a> in the incident.</p>
<p>Emergency teams were present at the site and monitoring the situation closely.</p>
<p>Fire brigade officials and personnel were engaged in efforts to bring the blaze under control.</p>
<p>Thick smoke was seen rising from the area as firefighters worked to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby locations.</p>
<h2>Cause of fire being probed</h2>
<p><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-best-bus-fire-fire-breaks-out-in-best-bus-at-santacruz-depot-no-injuries-reported-23632468" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>Officials were probing the cause of fire</strong></a>. Further details are awaited as firefighting operations continue and authorities assess the extent of the damage, said an official.</p>
<h2>Fire breaks out after suspected AC blast in Ghansoli</h2>
<p>Meanwhile, a major fire broke out at a residential building in Ghansoli area of Navi Mumbai on June 6 night.</p>
<p>Several residents were injured, and 10 people trapped inside the smoke-filled structure were rescued by firefighters.</p>
<p>The fire broke out around 8.01 pm at Kuber Apartment, a G+4 building in Sector 21, Ghansoli.</p>
<p>According to NMMC Fire Officer Purushottam Jadhav, power distribution work was underway outside the building before. After electricity supply was restored, the occupant of Flat No. 203 reported a blast in the AC unit, following which the fire spread rapidly. Prima facie, the cause appears to be an electrical fault, though an investigation is underway.</p>
<p>The blaze originated in the home of Parveen Syed in Flat No. 203 and spread to the third-floor flat of Hemant Kode (Flat No. 303) and the fourth-floor residence of Prashant Davande (Flat No. 403).</p>
<h2>Rescue operation</h2>
<p>Five fire engines from Koparkhairane, Airoli, and Vashi, along with a water bowser and support vehicles, were rushed to the spot. <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/photo/in-photos-firefighters-battle-massive-blaze-at-warehouse-in-thane-west-111163/6" rel="nofollow"><strong>Firefighters battled the blaze</strong> </a>for nearly two hours before bringing it under control. Several residents suffered burn injuries and smoke inhalation, and were admitted to Indravati Hospital for treatment. &ldquo;Our teams rescued 10 people and prevented the fire from spreading to the entire building. The situation is now completely under control,&rdquo; Jadhav said.</p>
